Software Developer, Wallet team

We are looking for a skilled Software Developer to join our wallet team at Veikkaus. This is a permanent, full-time position where you’ll have the opportunity to design, develop, and maintain the backend systems that power our trusted and reliable wallet services. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in creating and enhancing high-volume, cloud-native solutions built on a modern composable architecture. With financial transactions at the core, your work will ensure our systems remain secure, high-quality, and easy to maintain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain backend systems for wallet services
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features
  • Ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of our systems

Required Skills:

  • At least 6+ years of backend development experience
  • Proficiency in English
  • Good collaboration and communication skills

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong skills in Kotlin and/or Java programming language
  • Experience with GitLab CI/CD and Terraform
  • Experience in cloud environments
  • Familiarity with PostgreSQL, Redis, Kubernetes, Grafana, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), GCP BigQuery, GCP Cloud Run, GCP Pub/Sub, Typescript, Javascript, Node and Linux
