Security Specialist – DevSecOps & Vulnerability Management

Are you passionate about software security and looking to make an impact? Join our Cybersecurity team as a Security Specialist, where you’ll play a key role in enhancing and developing our DevSecOps solutions and vulnerability management processes.

We are looking for someone with a strong interest in software security, whether you come from a background in software development or software security. Your expertise will help create and implement security processes that empower development teams to build secure and resilient applications.

What you will do

  • Enhance and develop DevSecOps solutions and vulnerability management processes.
  • Design and implement security processes that support development teams.
  • Assist teams with vulnerability analysis and proactive security improvements.
  • Facilitate threat modeling sessions to identify and mitigate risks early in development.

What we’re looking for

  • A passion for software security and cybersecurity—whether through experience or self-driven learning.
  • Professional experience in application development, with an interest in security.
  • Hands-on experience with security tools for application development and a strong understanding of secure coding practices.
  • Proficiency in one or more key programming languages: Java, TypeScript, Go, Python, C, or C++.
  • Experience in application testing and test-driven development.
  • Familiarity with popular databases and caching solutions.
  • Experience with threat modeling and identifying security risks in applications.
  • Skills in containerizing applications and working with modern deployment environments.

The role is based in Helsinki, at the headquarters of Veikkaus. Veikkaus prefers a flexible hybrid work model between a remote workplace and an office.
