Remedy Entertainment, the creator of Control®, Max Payne®, Alan Wake®, and one of the leading independent game studios in the world, is looking for a Development Manager for our upcoming project, FBC: Firebreak.

As a Development Manager at Remedy, you will take part in all phases of our high-quality game projects and thus get to participate in building Remedy’s future success.

This role offers you an opportunity to be part of our FBC: Firebreak team. You will play a key part in the project’s future success and collaborate closely with talented team members from the production and game teams. You will work directly with our internal teams and oversee the day-to-day game development process.

What you get to do

  • In this role, you will lead a team of developers, running them through the project life cycle stages, working in close collaboration, and supporting Senior Development Managers.
  • Ensure that the delivery of the teams is accurately managed, tracked and updated through the course of development.
  • Plan and consistently deliver against project schedules, identify production risks or constraints and troubleshoot dependency problems.
  • Plan and prioritize tasks that are clearly communicated to the teams.
  • Facilitate communication between the project teams, leads and other producers.
  • Actively optimize and improve work methods and best practices to drive team efficiency.
  • Stay aware of industry standards, both in terms of methodology and quality, and help team members stay on par or ahead of them when necessary.

What you bring to the role

  • You have solid experience as a Development Manager/Producer from cross-functional teams with at least 1 PC/console game project shipped.
  • You have excellent project management skills and hands-on experience leading teams using methodologies and frameworks.
  • You are proficient using production management software tools, such as Jira.
  • You are proficient in Excel and business intelligence tools. Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms are a plus.
  • You have a problem-solving and critical-thinking mindset.
  • You thrive working in a team environment, sharing ideas and learning from others. You are used to collaborating with colleagues across different departments and you are able to communicate and present your ideas in a clear and coherent way. As a team member, you are dedicated to contributing towards a friendly and inclusive work environment.
  • You can work independently, being organized and able to document your work.
