We are looking for a Build Engineer for our team to develop Pax Dei, a social sandbox MMO. Your mission would be to architect, optimize and maintain the overall infrastructure and build process within Mainframe Industries.

At Mainframe, we are building Pax Dei: a social sandbox MMO, a living world where myths are real, ghosts exist, and magic is unquestioned. A world that players worldwide will call their home and where they will craft their stories for years to come.  

Your mission:

Your mission as a Build Engineer would be to architect, optimize and maintain the overall infrastructure and build process within Mainframe Industries to provide our teams with reliable access to the latest builds and resources to be able to develop a next gen cloud native MMO called Pax Dei! All this as a part of a world class team of game developers. 

Your responsibilities:

We are looking for someone to employ their knowledge of build pipelines and take our existing setup to the next level. You will be collaborating closely with our teams to build, deploy and ship Pax Dei internally to our teams and externally to our playerbase. You will be helping our developers to troubleshoot errors and failures in the builds and educate them on how to understand these issues in the future. You will keep up to date with the latest developments in tools and best practices for building and deploying software and look to implement and change as needed.

What we are looking for:

  • You have experience with CI/CD systems like TeamCity or Jenkins
  • You know the internal workings of how to build games in Unreal Engine or any other related engine
  • You have excellent knowledge of scripting languages such as Python
  • You have experience with source control systems like Perforce and Git
  • You are comfortable interacting with members at all levels and disciplines of the company

Location and work:

You will join our team and your role is preferably based in our offices in Finland or in Iceland. We are open to discussing remote work but we prefer to stay in the time zones between Helsinki and Reykjavik.
