  • You will be expected to own level designs from conception to the final stages of polish
  • Degree of self-drive: knowing where to focus without continuous guidance
  • Proactively drive communication and coordination with different departments
  • Prototype the environment, establish the layouts and learn ways to use interactive and non-interactive means to create emotion for the player
  • You understand how to control the accessibility, clarity and difficulty of the level
  • You know how to implement the desired gameplay in the levels
  • You know how to work under time constraints and focus on the most important parts
  • You are self-driven to actively play through levels, actively finding ways to improve them and keeping them up to date


  • 3+ years of experience in the games industry working in a level design capacity, shipping at least one title
  • Knowledge and experience working with next-generation 3D level editors (Unreal, CryEngine, in house 3D tools etc.) or other 3D software packages
  • Experience working with a game engine, using scripting tools to orchestrate events, and implementing 3D work into the pipeline.
  • Experience in rapid prototyping to test feasibility of concepts, layouts and encounters
  • Experience in working with levels from early prototyping to release


  • Dedicated to contributing towards a friendly team environment
  • Passionate, positive and solution oriented about crafting memorable gameplay experiences
  • Extensive knowledge across a wide range of games. Why they work / don’t work
  • Ability to go through multiple iterations and versions of levels without heavy loss of motivation
  • Understand the aesthetics of different environments, function vs. form relationships
  • Good knowledge of encounter design, pacing and how to use gameplay elements in a meaningful way
  • Ability to self-critique and accept outside critique from leads, publishers and other team members and channel it into improving the product
  • Demonstrate a willingness to keep an open mind to coworker’s ideas, incorporating suggestions when applicable
  • Clear verbal/written communication skills in English



  • Portfolio should include visual examples of your work
