Development Team Manager

Are you passionate about leading people and building impactful technology solutions that form the backbone of product platforms? As a Development Team Manager, you’ll guide a team of 15 skilled professionals in developing shared platform features that are integral parts of our product platforms—not just supporting tools, but key components driving real value. This role combines hands-on product engineering leadership with team management, offering an opportunity to shape scalable, robust product features in a focused, product-driven environment.

As a Development Team Manager, you’ll have two key responsibilities: leading a team of approximately 15 software professionals, including two development managers, and ensuring effective product development practices within the team.

In your line manager role, your main responsibility is to support the team in delivering high-quality, shared product features for our product platforms. You’ll focus on building a trustworthy and collaborative team atmosphere, where people feel valued and motivated to contribute their best. You’ll also play a key role in supporting team members’ professional growth, helping them succeed in their roles, and ensuring clarity in responsibilities and goals. A key focus will be on achieving one of our unit’s goals: Engaged Workload, Real Impact. This means providing team members with a balanced workload that fully utilizes their expertise across products and operations without overloading or under-engaging them.

In your product engineering leadership role, you’ll collaborate closely with the two development managers, who already carry significant product owner responsibilities. While you won’t act as the sole product owner, you’ll have the flexibility to take on selected product ownership tasks based on your strengths, team needs, and mutual agreements with the development managers.

You’ll also have a critical role in driving established agile product development processes and practices into action. Our agile processes are well-founded and continuously evolving, and the team is already following many of them. However, this role offers an exciting opportunity to further develop these processes and ways of working, helping the team grow into a world-class product development organization.

As part of the unit’s steering group, you’ll work alongside other team leaders and key colleagues to shape the direction of the unit and contribute to decision-making. This position provides a meaningful platform for influencing both team and unit-level strategies.

This role is an excellent fit for someone who enjoys balancing team leadership with hands-on product development responsibilities, thrives in an agile development environment, and is eager to make a real difference in how products are built and delivered.

You will thrive in this position, if you have:

  • A natural drive to get things done and a proactive mindset
  • A strong technology background with experience supporting product development teams in a product-driven environment, ideally with exposure to platform engineering
  • Engineering manager-level experience, including leadership in product-oriented software development
  • Considerable experience in applying Agile practices in a dynamic product development setting
  • Leadership and collaboration skills to inspire confidence, build commitment, and guide teams effectively
  • The ability to work at our offices at least three times a week

Joining us means stepping into a collaborative environment that values well-being, autonomy, and accountability while offering competitive benefits. You’ll play an active role in developing products for global markets, contributing to solutions that have a real impact on an international scale.
